Crazy Idea for Twitter and Blogs

by George Tran on July 2, 2009

I woke up today with a crazy idea…I’d like to share it with you and would appreciate your feedback.

You know, most of us are very busy and don’t spend all day looking at twitter and Facebook – as much as we would like to.

Imagine if you can sign up for a service, set up a reminder – say, “remind me every 3 hours to post on twitter” – or “remind me every day to post on Facebook” or “remind me every couple of days to post on my  blog”.

Most of us check and use emails many times during the day.  Imagine if we could just receive the reminder, hit “Reply” and it would then post to the appropriate service. For example, I come in in the morning, and I have an email on my desk. “remember to post on twitter – hit reply”.  I then compose a short response: “Going into a sales presentation today with Nike”.  Hit Send.  This message will then be posted on my twitter account within minutes.

What do you think of the idea?  Do you like it?  Would you use it?

Please comment.

I keep my email checking to a minimum – too distracting.
